Description
Umbria Bianco IGT Cervaro della Sala 2023 Castello della Sala – Marchesi Antinori
The 2023 Cervaro della Sala , produced at the prestigious Castello della Sala estate of the Marchesi Antinori family , is a white wine of extraordinary elegance and complexity, considered one of the symbols of contemporary Italian winemaking. It has a brilliant straw yellow color and a broad bouquet, revealing notes of ripe citrus, white flowers, toasted hazelnut, and vanilla , accompanied by a subtle minerality that enhances its freshness. On the palate, it is structured, creamy, and harmonious , with a long, savory finish that perfectly reflects the Umbrian terroir.
Winemaking Method
The Chardonnay and Grechetto grapes are hand-picked in the early morning to preserve their integrity and aromatic freshness. After a brief cold maceration , the must ferments in French oak barriques , where the wine ages for approximately 5 months , partially undergoing malolactic fermentation. It then ages in the bottle for at least 10 months before being released, acquiring elegance and complexity.
Conservation and Maturation
Store in a cool , dark place at a constant temperature. Cervaro della Sala best expresses its finesse between 3 and 7 years after bottling. Serve at 10–12°C , the ideal temperature to appreciate its structure and delicate aromatic nuances.
