FRESCOBALDI Chianti Rufina Riserva 2016 is a wine of great complexity: ripe fruit, spicy and mineral notes accompany the intense aroma and balanced hint of tannins. Left to mature for about 24 months in second and third passage barriques, it manages to maintain a strong link with the style of the territory of origin, giving a unique experience.

Vinification The harvest began in the first days of September. As soon as the grapes were harvested, they were immediately transferred to the cellar. Here, once destemmed, the spontaneous fermentation process took place in thermoregulated stainless steel tanks. At the end of this, the wine remained in the vats to complete the maceration. Following the racking, the malolactic fermentation took place, always conducted in steel. At the end of the year the wine was decanted into barriques, where it aged for the following 24 months. The additional period in the bottle allowed Nipozzano 2016 to express itself to the fullest, making it a wine with exceptional expressive balance.

Color At sight the wine has a ruby ​​red color with purple reflections.
Perfume The nose is floral, characterized by clear hints of violet that prevail over the fruity. Followed by raspberry, black currant and black cherry accompanied by aromas of licorice and spicy notes of nutmeg and white pepper.
Taste The entry into the mouth is warm, with tannins in full evidence. The texture appears decisive, a typical characteristic of Chianti Rùfina. Of long persistence.

Vinificazione

La vendemmia è iniziata i primi giorni di Settembre. Le uve, non appena vendemmiate, sono state immediatamente conferite in cantina. Qui una volta diraspate, è avvenuto il processo fermentativo spontaneo in vasche di acciaio inox termoregolate. Al termine di questo, il vino è rimasto nei tini per concludere la macerazione. In seguito alla svinatura è avvenuta la fermentazione malo-lattica, condotta sempre in acciaio. Alla fine dell’anno il vino è stato travasato in barriques, dove ha affinato per i successivi 24 mesi. L’ulteriore periodo in bottiglia ha permesso a Nipozzano 2016 di esprimersi al massimo, rendendolo un vino dall’eccezionale equilibrio espressivo.

Alla vista il vino si presenta di colore rosso rubino con riflessi purpurei.

Profumo

Al naso è floreale, caratterizzato da netti sentori di viola mammola che prevalgono sul fruttato. A seguire lampone, ribes nero e amarena a cui si accompagnano profumi di liquirizia e note speziate di noce moscata e pepe bianco.

Gusto

L’ingresso in bocca è caldo, con tannini in piena evidenza. La tessitura appare decisa, caratteristica tipica del Chianti Rùfina. Di lunga persistenza.
