Barbera 'Casaret' Langhe DOC is an intense and intriguing Piedmontese red wine. Equipped with a smooth but well-structured drink, it is produced by the Marziano Abbona winery . This company, founded in 1970, proudly wanted to offer the most traditional wines, coming not only from the best crus of the area, but above all from a unique terroir of its kind, that of the Langhe. The vineyards are located in the area between Dogliani, Monforte d'Alba and Novello. In particular, the great protagonist of this wine, Barbera, comes from the best parcels located in the highest areas and with the best exposures. Here the soil is calcareous, rich in silt, sand and clay, while the climate is temperate: a perfect mix to obtain a persuasive and full-bodied red. The grapes are grown naturally and processed by hand. In the cellar, Barbera 'Casaret' is produced through careful vinification which includes a discreet period of refinement and rest in steel containers in order to best refine the wine. Perfect to drink young, it acquires a complex sensory structure after 4 or 5 years of ageing.
