Vinification | The harvest began in the first days of September. As soon as the grapes were harvested, they were immediately transferred to the cellar. Here, once destemmed, the spontaneous fermentation process took place in thermoregulated stainless steel tanks. At the end of this, the wine remained in the vats to complete the maceration. Following the racking, the malolactic fermentation took place, always conducted in steel. At the end of the year the wine was decanted into barriques, where it aged for the following 24 months. The additional period in the bottle allowed Nipozzano 2016 to express itself to the fullest, making it a wine with exceptional expressive balance. |
Refinement | Barriques |
Color | At sight the wine has a ruby red color with purple reflections. |
Perfume | The nose is floral, characterized by clear hints of violet that prevail over the fruity. Followed by raspberry, black currant and black cherry accompanied by aromas of licorice and spicy notes of nutmeg and white pepper. |
Taste | The entry into the mouth is warm, with tannins in full evidence. The texture appears decisive, a typical characteristic of Chianti Rùfina. Of long persistence. |
