Description

The Arneis Langhe DOC Blangé of Ceretto derives from 100% Arneis grapes from vineyards located in the territories of Vezze d'Alba, Castellinaldo, Canale and Alba, in the province of Cuneo. The soils here are composed of clay, sand and silt and are located at an altitude of between 210 and 290 meters above sea level. Blangé is a symbolic wine of Piedmont, notoriously home to great reds. In fact, the first label was born in 1985 thanks to a bet by the brothers Marcello and Bruno Ceretto who decided to focus on the enhancement of a white grape variety little known at the time, precisely Arneis. To best express its potential, thanks to the oenologist Donato Lanati, they opted for the innovative cryomaceration technique, consisting of a cold maceration (5°C) of the must on the skins, to extract the primary aromas of the grapes as much as possible. Before being marketed, the wine rested for a few months in steel.
