Monte Tondo's Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Riserva 2011 has a full, enveloping body, with a robust structure and balanced tannins that enhance the complexity and aromatic richness typical of this prestigious wine.

Winemaking:The grapes are harvested by hand and placed on trays and left to dry in the fruit cellar, where the temperature and humidity are constantly monitored. The vinification takes place towards the beginning of January, when the drop in raisining is around 45% and in any case it always depends on the vintage. The fermentation temperature varies between 23 and 28°C and the maceration lasts around 20 days.

Refinement:Matured in a 30hl Slavonian wood barrel for 60 months, after bottling it remains in refinement for at least 6 months before being released for consumption.

Deep dark ruby.

Perfume

Candied blackberry and cherry. Large tobacco shavings. Spicy and woody. Licorice jelly.

Taste

Sweet, full-bodied mouthcoat and very strong attack. Very intense.
