From the Tignanello estate, in the heart of the Chianti Classico between the Greve and Pesa valleys, comes one of the pearls of the Italian wine renaissance, Il Solaia. The estate, owned by the Marchesi Antinori since the mid-1800s, has always been dedicated to viticulture and its 2 products, Solaia and Tignanello, are among the best known and most appreciated wines in the world.

Vinification | After racking, carried out when the alcoholic fermentation was over, the wines were placed in new oak barriques, with the intention, which was successful, of having the malolactic fermentation take place by the end of the year. |
Refinement | Subsequently they were blended, they rested for about 12 months in barriques, they were decanted and finally, after careful tasting barrique by barrique, the wine was bottled. The introduction on the market took place after a further year of refinement. |
Color | Intense ruby red. |
Perfume | The nose is immediately important. It is a wine in which the aromas of the fruit are preserved in perfect harmony with the hints of vanilla and chocolate of the wood. |
Taste | When tasted, the Solaia presents a very powerful palate, supported by an evident tannic texture, but soft and very persistent after a certain permanence in the glass. The notes of ripe fruit, blackberry and cherry compose an intense aftertaste and a persistence that seem almost endless. |
