The Castello di Cigognola winery is located in the heart of the Oltrepò Pavese, in the hills between Piedmont and Emilia, south of the Po River, in what was once known as "Old Piedmont" until the unification of Italy. It was born from the intuition of owners Gianmarco and Letizia Moratti, who, together with winemaker Riccardo Cotarella and a team of experts, chose to capitalize on a particularly favorable terroir. Significant investments in the vineyard and cellar have transformed the ancient castle into a benchmark of excellence. This has led to the winery quickly earning top accolades from Italy's most prestigious wine guides.
